Are you passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced dairy processing plant? We are seeking an experienced Process Owner to lead continuous improvement initiatives, maximize efficiency, and ensure food and people safety standards.
The Process Owner will develop and implement best practices to enhance yield, quality, and delivery performance while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. This position is the process expert, developing training and troubleshooting production challenges to maintain operational excellence.
- Project Implementation Liaison – Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Contractors, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of new equipment, processes, and SOPs.
- Process Strategy & Ownership – Define and lead strategic initiatives for assigned process areas.
- Food Safety & Compliance – Serve as an active member of the Food Safety Team, ensuring adherence to strict regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Capacity Planning – Lead capacity analysis, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize production processes.
- R&D Support – Facilitate product trials, scale-up procedures, and ensure seamless transition from pilot plant to full-scale production.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Expertise – Provide hands-on problem-solving support across production operations.
- Cost Reduction & Sustainability – Drive initiatives to optimize packaging lines, reduce rework, and minimize waste.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; dairy or fluid processing experience preferred.
- 3+ years in process and project management, ideally in fluid processing.
- Proven expertise in Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Project, and Workflows.
- In-depth understanding of Food Safety regulations, including PMO, FDA, SQF, and USDA requirements.
- Flexibility to support engineering, process, and production needs—including nights/weekends as required.
